Quebec student strike organiser touring Ireland

At the end of September Vanessa Vela, one of the organisers of the huge 2012 Quebec student strike, will be touring 7 Irish colleges (UCC, NUIG, UCD, TCD, Maynooth, Derry, Queens). Full details of the tour here.

See here for a youtube interview with others of the strike organisers.

Here's what the tour organisers, Workers Solidarity, say:

"There are two purposes to the tour.  Firstly so that we can learn how the successful strike was organised in Quebec and discuss whether similar methods might work here. But as importantly we want to use the organisation of the tour in order to aid in the building of a network of militant student activists across the island."
